Friday night wasn’t so delightful for The Shaman of Sexy. With another loss to Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre, Morrison seems to have lost some of his mojo.

Morrison cut a promo saying that he is not like McIntyre being groomed to be a corporate champion. He asked him when he won the IC title and Morrison said he remembers because an hour later, he dropped on the floor and gave a running chest bump to his Irish buddy Sheamus. He said he doesn’t mind celebrations, but he doesn’t know what the title means. He says he takes shortcuts and tonight there are no rules and anything goes. He said you can’t cheat, run or get counted out. He said the Friday Night Delight will make you fight for it like everyone else.
3. Drew McIntyre defeated John Morrison to retain the Intercontinental Championship in 11:34.
Morrison started with an kick and blows to Drew in the corner. Drew hit a chinbuster to Morrison. Morrison hit a spinning heel kick to Drew for a nearfall. Morrison hit a clothesline on Drew. Drew got a kendo stick and started to beat on Morrison and went for a cover and got a two count. Drew hit a weak clothesline on Morrison and went for another cover for a two count. Drew put Morrison in a submission and Morrison tried to counter but Drew kicked Morrison’s gut for a nearfall. Morrison hit some blows on Drew and Drew tried to run but Morrison knocked him down. Drew still tried to use the title but Morrison attacked. Drew started to beat on Morrison with some nasty blows. [C]
The show returned with Drew hitting a board buster during the break. Morrison went for the Chuck Kick but Drew countered by pushing Morrison. Drew grabbed some ring steps and tried to take Morrison out, but he missed. Drew threw Morrison out of the ring and fought him throughout the crowd. Morrison hit an knee to Drew and threw him back in the ring area. Morrison jumped over the security wall and clotheslined Drew. Morrison got the kendo stick and beat the hell out of Drew by the announcers table. Morrison hit an hip toss Drew on the steel steps for a nearfall. Morrison went for Starship Pain but Drew countered with knees to Morrison’s back. Drew hit his finisher on the IC title to end the match.
NO DISQUALIFICATIONS
After a tag team win over Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre on last week’s SmackDown, John Morrison will face McIntyre in a No Disqualification Match for his title tonight. Can The Friday Night Delight regain the coveted title that was once his?
